Fade to Grey Farm: Eventing, Foxhunting, & Connemaras Breeding Connemaras and Connemara crosses for eventing and foxhunting Fade to Grey Eventing was started by Megan Buchanan in 2007.

Megan's family formed Brambleridge Farm in 1997, and she and her mother, Nancy Buchanan, began breeding ponies, and pony crosses, in 2004. They have worked diligently to produce good tempered, athletic ponies capable of a variety disciplines. They narrowed their stock from Welsh and Connemaras, to just Connemaras and Connemara crosses. Although the farm moved in 2007, and again to Megan's Fade to

Grey Farm in 2011, the horses and ponies still carry the Brambleridge prefix. Megan is a graduate upper level pony clubber, avid eventer and foxhunter. She has earned her colors with the Bear Creek Hounds and has been hunting with them since 2007. She has served as an honorary whip since 2012. Megan has competed successfully through the Intermediate level in eventing, 2nd level dressage, and the 3'9" jumpers. She taught and trained for five years professionally before returning to the home building industry. Megan is a member of USEF, USEA, USDF, ACPS and USPC. Megan has served several terms on the American Connemara Pony Society Board of Governors, including the position of Vice President, also serves on the ACPS Region IV Committee and is an inspector for the US Inspection committee. She was instrumental in starting the ACPS' new Connemara Sport Horse registry.

It may be the only quiet we find in our day and the only time we don’t have someone else talking to us or needing us. I resets me and charges my batteries!

There is something I deeply admire about my adult amateur ladies. 💙💜💙

They have careers. They have children. They have spouses, homes, endless responsibilities, and calendars that make my head spin.

And somehow… they still make room for the horses.

They squeeze in the barn before work. They come straight from the office. They rearrange schedules, find childcare, drive in after long days, and sometimes (often!) ride when they are already completely exhausted.

Not because they have unlimited time.

Because this matters to them.

This photo is one of my favorite reminders of that. A doctor, a full-time professional, a mom of two toddlers — and a horsewoman — carving out a little piece of the evening to do something that fills her cup. Just her, her horse, and a sunset.

Here’s to the women who have a million things on their plates — and still make time for their horses. 🥂🐴✨

Well, despite completing the more difficult combinations without an issue, Declan and I had a couple fences on XC that cost us. Rather than show jump tomorrow I decided to save his legs for another day.
