Franklin’s update from vet:
Good news-skin is chronic skin allergies, (not a contagious mange) being treated with a month of antibiotics, which should help clear his diarrhea And shampoo. He has ear infections in both ears (different flora), left bacterial, right yeast, in which was treated with a medication good for a month! Thank you vet med for this medication! I’d hate to traumatize him With daily ear medication. They age him to be around 5-8 years, so I will Call him 6. He is weak in the limbs, unknown if neurological vs. malnutrition.
If anyone is interested in adopting this guy, he will be available in about a month once we clear all these infections. PM

Update on Franklin:
He was seen by a Vet today and was given his first round of vaccines, flea pill/anti-parasitic. He does not have a microchip. His current weight is 55 lbs. I think he would look great at 70-75. He’s got some long legs 🦵.
He’s eating puppy food, chicken and canned food for now, but Rice, yogurt, and chicken breast was recommended until the diarrhea subsides. I’ll give him a bath after his afternoon nap💤 . He did well for everything and loads in and out well. He likes all the other dogs we have on the farm. Thank you all for the donations. He is going to Pecan Grove In Gonzalez

Friday at 10am for a full check up. I suspect he has an ear infection and allergies in general. He needs a prescription dewormer, and shampoos etc. for his skin disease.

Whoever dumped this dog on FM1150 and darst field rd, Shame on you and let the good lord have mercy. People like you who allowed the dog to get to this point, then kick it off their truck bed and abandon it, boy There’s a special place in hell for you. If anyone recognizes this dog please PM me. I would like to file an abuse case. He’s now safe but needs vet care. Can anyone donate $5? Every dollar helps. Thanks and God bless.
