🐾❤️ Sassy's Survivor Story ❤️🐾
This sweet Corgi girl is all smiles today, but just a few short weeks ago, things looked very different.
When Sassy's family brought her to Southern Veterinary Clinic, she was very sick. We are so grateful they trusted us with her care because she needed immediate medical attention. During her stay, Sassy received intensive treatment, including IV fluids, a blood transfusion, and surgery to remove a large mass from her spleen.
As veterinary professionals, we always hope for the best, but we also know that not every story ends the way we wish it would. During those uncertain days, we made sure Sassy received not only medical care, but also plenty of love, comfort, and cuddles from our team. Her mama asked us to tell her she loves her, and we did just that. ❤
There were moments when her future was unclear, but Sassy kept fighting.
Today, we're thrilled to share that she came back to see us for her recheck and suture removal—and what a difference! Her mom reports that Sassy is acting like she's two years old again. She happily accepted lots of treats during her visit (which may have become her new favorite hobby 😉).
Seeing her bright eyes, wagging nubby tail, and happy spirit brought smiles (and maybe happy tears) to every member of our team.
Stories like Sassy's remind us why every moment with our pets is precious. They aren't "just dogs"—they are beloved family members, best friends, faithful companions, and cherished parts of our lives.
Not every case has a happy ending, which is why we celebrate victories like this one with grateful hearts.
This is why we do what we do!
Way to go, Sassy. We're so proud of you. ❤️🐾
