FOUND IN LUCEDALE – PLEASE SHARE 🐾

This handsome male, intact pit bull was brought to us this morning by the Lucedale Police Department. Unfortunately, he was not wearing a collar or tag, is not microchipped, and seems to have absolutely no idea how to find his way back home.

He is safe here with us while we wait to see if his family comes forward. If you believe this may be your dog, proof of ownership will be required for reclaim.

Per Mississippi law, his 5-day legal stray hold begins today. If he is not reclaimed during that time, he will become available for adoption or foster placement.

🐾🖤 Six Tiny Tuxedos Looking for Their Forever Homes! 🖤🐾

These six adorable black-and-white kittens stopped by today with their foster mom for an important milestone—their first round of vaccines, dewormer, and flea/tick preventative! 🎉

At around 6 weeks old, these little cuties are healthy, playful, incredibly friendly, and already winning hearts everywhere they go. They love attention, are well-socialized, and are ready to start the next chapter of their lives with families of their very own.

While they are located in Lucedale, they are currently living with their foster mom and are not at the shelter. If one (or two!) of these precious babies has caught your eye, please reach out to the rescue and we’ll be happy to connect you with their foster mom.

💙 Meet Layla💙

Sheis a beautiful blue pit bull, around 4 years old, and if her story could talk, it would probably tell a tale of litter after litter of puppies—either for someone looking to make a quick buck or simply as part of surviving life on the streets.

But those days are officially behind her.

Since coming to us, Layla has been fully vetted, vaccinated, and spayed, ensuring she will never have to be a mama again. She is heartworm positive, but don’t let that scare you away—we have already started her treatment, and the remainder of her heartworm treatment is included in her adoption fee.

What Layla wants now is something she’s likely never had: a family of her own.

She is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. Every visitor who walks through our doors is greeted by her hopeful eyes and wagging tail as she patiently waits for someone willing to stop and give her a little affection. She absolutely soaks up every bit of love she can get.

Whether you’re looking to adopt or can provide a temporary foster home, Layla would love the chance to finally experience what it means to be someone’s beloved pet.

🐾 STRAY LUCEDALE– MEET JACKSON 🐾

This handsome 5–6 month old German Shepherd mix puppy is who we’re calling Jackson.

Truth be told, Jackson found us more than we found him! He showed up wandering near the shelter, likely searching for a meal and a safe place to rest. Thankfully, he found both.

Jackson was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped, but we’re hoping someone recognizes him and can help reunite him with his family.

If you believe Jackson is your dog, please contact us as soon as possible. Proof of ownership will be required for reclaim.

For now, Jackson will be hanging out with us while he serves his legal stray hold. If no owner comes forward, he’ll finish getting all his vetting completed and will then be available for adoption or foster.

🐾 LOOKING FOR HER FAMILY – PLEASE SHARE 🐾

This sweet silver and white female pit bull was brought to us today by a very caring Lucedale Police Department Officer after she was found wandering along Highway 198 in town.

She was wearing a pink collar but had no identification tags and is not microchipped. Since no owner information was available, we have given her the temporary name Evie and made sure she is safe and comfortable while we search for her family.

Evie has received her first round of vaccines, dewormer, and flea and tick prevention while in our care.

If this is your dog, please contact us as soon as possible. Proof of ownership will be required for reclaim.

Per Mississippi law, Evie’s legal 5-day stray hold begins today. If she is not reclaimed during that time, she will become available for adoption or foster placement.

At around 12 months old, this 100% imported, purebred (😉)- blockheaded love muffin is the total package. Wrigley is the sweetest, most affectionate boy you’ll ever meet. He loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and would happily spend his days curled up beside you—or hanging his head out the truck window while Luke Combs plays on the radio.
