Wrote this June 21, 2024 as a few ideas came to me while sitting in a swather with the a/c not working. Just found on my phone today thought I would share. Some of the things I going say are a little out of the norm but I have confidence in them anyway. Funny how truth seems a little odd in a world full of voices that aren’t . My hope is present in a way that people can take something from and bring people together not to divide them.
To stay connected to the intelligence of nature . We must live from inside out not from the outside in. We know what works on our ranches we know what is correct yet we allow the outside noise to effect us. Our spring board moments come when we slow to observe nature the way it wants to work not by being manipulated by man thirst and drive to be all knowing. This ego driven quest fools us with moving targets and goals that can never be met. Ultimately becoming out of balance with nature’s intelligence .
Feel fortunate that my brother and I where exposed to the teachings of Jan Bonsma at a very early age. We listened to our father tell his testimony of the Bonsma’s principles our entire lives. And now as grown men we have seen our own testimony come of age being proven through many years of our own experiences and observations.
These principles stand on their own, like truth often does. Over the years the mother cows that these principles produce are the fundamental building blocks that cattlemen must stand on to be successful at higher levels. I hope that the current search for a new but an old way of seeing things enables more of creations truths to be uncovered. I know it’s hard to believe that it is truly that simple but it is. With all of my being I know these observations simply circle back to how bovines were created to live on this earth in its many environments. No one is here to take credit for what the Good Lord made. Just simply to possibly understand creation at a higher level. We are only given eyes to see when we humble ourselves and ask for them. As it is said faith grants you access. Thinking at levels few are willing to do we can see the cattle industry is fighting a spiritual battle just like every other battle going on this earthly realm. These all encompassing ideas may seem weird at first but with many observations bit by bit they are proven.
The powers in high places in our industry seek to control our decisions ultimately lining their pockets. Not worried about what is right for each cattlemen or their individual environment and resources. Everything is interlocking from the soil to the sun. The more harmony within an animal the more success they can achieve of their life time . These things include hormonal harmony which place huge roles in the animal from its stomach microbes to skeletal structure. Every action in the body is controlled through glands producing hormones. Questions to ask yourself why do animals look they way the look . Often man wants them to look a certain way but are antagonistic to nature ways. The closer the animal and environment fit the sharper the knife for cutting profits. The answers are found from the cow to the carcass not carcass to the cow.
