Kennel Tech Job Openings: Please share!!

As a kennel technician, you are responsible for the daily care and comfort of pets.

Your duties include the following: Cleaning and maintaining the kennel areas. Feeding and administering medication. Baths and nail trims. Supervising group play sessions. Assisting the receptionist when necessary.

Person must have a great attitude, be a team player and have good communication skills.

Holidays, nights and weekends are required.

For the past 10 years, Live Oak’s has been honored to care for the pets who mean so much to this community- both to you and to us. Today, we are humbled to extend that care further with the opening of Forever Loved Pets Crematorium, our in-house cremation service. Created with dignity, compassion, and respect at its heart, Forever Loved Pets allows us to support families not only throughout their pet’s life, but also during one of the most difficult goodbyes. Because every pet is family, and every farewell should be handled with the same love they gave us. 🤍🐾

❤️Live Oak Gives Back ❤️

For the next month, Live Oak Animal Hospital will be collecting donations for Whisperwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and we’d love your help supporting their residents. Please feel free to share this post to help get as much support for this endeavor as possible.

We are accepting:
🧼 Hygiene items
🧦 Comfort items (socks with grips, blankets, etc.)
📚 Magazines (can be used and older, no books at this time)
🎨 Arts & crafts supplies (including used or broken jewelry that can be repurposed)
…and other thoughtful comfort items

Donations can be left in our lobby during business hours.

Exciting News!!

We have some REALLY exciting news Lubbock! Are you a night owl? We sure hope so, because starting August 1st, we will be EXTENDING HOURS!!!
You have been asking, and we are finally able to listen!

We’re making it easier than ever to get care for your pets—on your schedule. Our main location at 98th & Slide will be extending hours seven days a week.

New Hours (starting August 1st):
Monday–Friday: 8am–10pm
Saturday: 8am–8pm
Sunday: 12pm–8pm

The best part?? No after-hours fees—just our regular exam rate. Walk-ins & emergencies are still welcome from open to close, and we’re now accepting scheduled appointments later into the evening.

More time, more flexibility, same trusted care.

Stop by and see us at 98th & Slide—day or night, we’re here when you need us.

Live Oak Family, We need your HELP!!

A furbaby that belongs to an established client is missing. He went missing from his home about 1-2 hours ago. The intersection is 19th and Canton. He boards with us frequently and we are just as worried sick as the owner because he is like one of our own! He is approximately 4 #. He is microchipped. Please share and Let us know if you hear or see anything about him.
