Lubbock Family Dog Training

Lubbock Family Dog Training I'm KPA certified. I offer a variety of dog training services. I teach with kindness and patience regardless of the breed and age of the dog and owners. Hi!

My goal is to help you create a close bond with your dog and to enjoy him/her as a part of the family. I am Tasha Merchant a KPA certified dog trainer in Lubbock, Texas. I focus on positive reinforcement training. I provide in-home private training as well as private training at my facility. I can help you with anything from dogs who constantly jump, bark, run out the door, pull on their leash, or

dig up your backyard, etc. I also like to work with families who have young children or are expecting their first child because I can teach you dog/kid safety and fun games your children can play with the dogs. Please email me or send me a facebook message if you would like to set-up a training session.

It’s not about strict words or perfect training. It’s about the way you show up for them; gently, consistently, and with love. 🩷

That’s the real language of trust. 🐶✨

📸 Meet Gus, a star student! ⭐️🐶
He knows his name means focus first, then follow.

When you say “Gus!” you’re not asking him to sit, stay, or come. You’re simply saying: “Hey, buddy, eyes on me.”👀

That moment of eye contact is everything. It’s your chance to give the next cue clearly, build engagement, and keep communication strong.

Your dog’s name is the start of the conversation, not the whole sentence. 🩷🐾

🐾 Can you spot the difference?
A relaxed dog = happy learning.
A stressed dog = time to pause and help them feel safe.

Many people think dogs act out because they want to “be in charge” That’s just a myth! 🐾

Most of the time, our pups are simply unsure, stressed, or haven’t learned what we’re asking yet. With patience, clarity, and positive training, we can help them shine. 💚🐕

July 4th is a blast for us, but it can be a stressful night for our furry friends. Fireworks, loud noises, and crowds aren’t their idea of fun. Keep your pup safe and relaxed with these easy tips:

- Keep them indoors in a quiet, comfy space
- Play calming music or white noise
- Try CBD chews made for dogs (ask your vet if you’re unsure)
- Prep a lick mat with peanut butter to keep them busy
- Double check their ID tags and microchip info

A little planning goes a long way to help your dog stay calm and cozy during the holiday fun.
