🐀🏆 BARN HUNT WEEKEND RECAP! 🏆🐀

Bentwood Cove’s Nicest Girl in Town “Cova” and Bentwood Cove’s CEO “Chief” had their first barn hunt trial this past weekend — and it was also Meagan’s first time handling at a barn hunt trial! Needless to say… Mom had a few new handler probs along the way. 😂

🐀 Bentwood Cove’s CEO RATN
Chief had an awesome first weekend!

🏆 3 First Place finishes
🥈 1 Second Place finish
🎖️ 2 High in Class ribbons
🐀 RAT Dominator in his FIRST Crazy 8’s run!

Chief went 5/6 qualifying runs, earning his RATN title, and then decided Crazy 8’s was pretty fun too. On his very first run, this boy earned a Rat Dominator ribbon! 🔥🐀

🐀 Bentwood Cove’s Nicest Girl in Town RATN
Cova was right there keeping up with her brother!

🏆 3 First Place finishes
🥈 2 Second Place finishes
🎖️ 2 High in Class ribbons

Cova also went 5/6 qualifying runs, earning her RATN title!

Then came Crazy 8’s… where poor Cova was paired with the worst handler EVER. 😂 Mom is still learning... Despite my questionable directions, Cova found rats, kept working, and even conquered a big girl tunnel! 💪🐀

We are proud of both of these dogs and had an absolute blast trying a new sport with them. Watching them figure it all out — even when Mom is still figuring it out too — made for one heck of a fun weekend! ❤️ We learned a lot from great judges and helpful volunteers

And now we think Mom might need to purchase some new rat friends and a few bales for alllllll the practice at home! 😂🐀

One whole year old! 🥳🐾 We can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by. And just look at how some of these BWC pups have already been spoiled rotten! 😂❤️

We love getting to see updates from our families and watching these pups grow into the dogs they were meant to be!
