Olivia is pregnant

The other day we introduced you to Olivia—once a stray surviving on scraps and sleeping wherever she could find shelter, including the grounds of a waste company in Lubbock. She’d already had several litters, though she is still so young. Life had taught her that people weren’t always safe.

For months, the company’s employees left her food and water and patiently worked to earn her trust. Then one day, Olivia finally let someone pet her. That employee gently scooped her up—and gave this sweet girl the love she’d been missing.

At first, Olivia tried to escape and wanted nothing to do with a leash. But little by little, she’s learning that she’s safe. Now she loves attention, gets excited for treats, walks on a lead, and gives the sweetest kisses. She’s trading street-survival mode for a chance to be someone’s cherished pet.

There’s one urgent concern: 🐶Olivia is pregnant🐶, and we’re full with moms and puppies. We don’t have a spare kennel where she can safely welcome her babies.

🚨 **Our rescue shelves are almost empty.** 🚨.

We’re out of most of the cat litter, shavings, puppy food, and cat food we need—and we’ve received $0 in donations. 😪

The dogs and puppies pictured are only some of the animals counting on us. Many cats and kittens need help, too. We’re a small rescue with a big heart ❤️, but we can’t keep going without support. We will have to close. 😭

🚨 **Our 70 little lives are counting on us—and we need you.** 🚨

Helping Hands Animal Rescue is caring for **36 dogs and 34 cats**, including vulnerable moms, tiny puppies and kittens, and adults who deserve a chance at a safe, loving home.

We’re doing everything we can. We pay the rent, utilities, gas, internet, and cleaning supplies out of pocket—but the cost of food, litter, shavings, medical supplies, and veterinary care is more than we can carry alone. Donations have nearly dried up, and without help, it’s getting harder to give every nugget the care they need to be healthy and ready for transport.

These animals can’t ask for help themselves. We’re asking for them. If you’ve ever loved a pet, you know how much comfort, trust, and joy one small life can bring. Please help us keep showing these nuggets that they haven’t been forgotten.

Meet Olivia—the little survivor who finally chose to trust.🐾❤️

For months, Olivia wandered the streets of Lubbock, surviving on scraps left behind by others and seeking shelter on the property of a local waste company. Still just a young girl, she had already raised multiple litters—and every day was a battle to stay alive.

The employees left food and water and patiently tried to earn her trust. But after being failed by humans again and again, Olivia kept her distance.

Then one day, she surrendered.

An employee was finally able to pet her, scoop her up, and give her the love she had been missing for so long. At first, Olivia tried everything to escape. She refused to walk on a leash and remained stuck in survival mode.

But little by little, she is learning that she is safe. 💕

Olivia now enjoys attention, gets excited for treats, walks on a leash, and gives the sweetest kisses. She is still learning to trust, but she has come so far—and she is ready for a family who will give her the patience, love, and security she deserves.

💥💥We are out of Cat/kitten food and Litter💥💥

we need your help! We are completely out of cat litter for the 40 something cats and kittens we have under HHAR! Unfortunately, we discovered that we needed to change the litter we were using because the dust was causing issues with our nuggets eyes! We have found a better solution and all eye problems have cleared. We now have to spend $21 for a 35 pound bucket from Walmart. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. 🐱🐱🐱
