Big news for our patients:
We just upgraded our diagnostic imaging with a brand new X-ray machine!

To give you an idea of how much of an upgrade this is, our old machine was already second hand when Dr. Zech first started practicing with GRVH! While that trusty old piece of equipment served us well for decades, we are thrilled to step into the future of veterinary medicine.

We have the absolute best clients at Grand River Veterinary! 🍔❤️

This week is bittersweet for our team as we say goodbye to Julia, who has been a cornerstone of our clinic family for the last 15 years. While we are so sad to see her go, our incredible client, Mr. Catlin, brought in a massive burger lunch for the entire staff to help us celebrate her incredible milestone and wish her well on her next chapter.
Mr. Catlin, thank you so much for your incredible kindness and generosity. Fueling our team with lunch was the perfect way to honor Julia’s dedication to all of your furry family members over the years.

Please join us in the comments in thanking Mr. Catlin for the amazing treat, and wishing Julia the absolute best in her next adventure! We will miss you terribly, Julia! 🐾✨

3 Common Pet Myths You May, or May Not Have Known!

"A dry or warm nose means your dog is sick. "🤥
The Reality: A dog's nose moisture changes constantly based on sleep, humidity, and weather. Look at their energy and appetite instead!

"Cats only purr when they are happy." 🤥
The Reality: Cats also purr to self-soothe when they are stressed, scared, or in pain. Check their posture and eyes for the full story.

"If my pet is in pain, they will cry or whine." 🤥
The Reality: Animals instinctively hide pain to avoid showing weakness. Lethargy, limping, and hiding are much more common signs of discomfort.

🌈🐾 Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. 🐾🌈
As veterinary professionals, we have the immense privilege of caring for your pets throughout their lives. We celebrate their milestones with you, but we also hold a very special place in our hearts for the beloved companions who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Their physical paw prints may no longer be on our clinic floors, but their memories are forever etched in our hearts. Whether your furry, feathered, or scaled family member left you recently or many years ago, their love never fades. We would love to fill this post with light and love today. Please share a photo, their name, or a favorite memory in the comments below so we can celebrate their legacies together. 👇❤️

This heatwave has us all melting, but this dog has the right idea. If you need us, we’ll be living vicariously through every pup currently face planting into a kiddie pool, biting at the garden hose, or living their best life under the sprinkler. ☀️
