There are many bacterial organisms that can invade the digestive system of cats, leading to signs of diarrhea, vomiting, gas, abdominal pain, and fever among other symptoms.

☀️ HEAT WAVE PET SAFETY REMINDER 🐾

The temperatures are climbing, and our pets can overheat much faster than we realize. Please take a few extra precautions during this heat wave:

🐶 Keep walks short and choose early morning or evening hours
💧 Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water
🏠 Keep pets indoors in air conditioning whenever possible
🔥 Check pavement before walking — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
🚗 Never leave a pet in a parked car — even for a few minutes
🐾 Be extra cautious with senior pets, puppies, overweight pets, and flat-faced breeds

Watch for signs of overheating including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, or collapse.

If you believe your pet may be suffering from heat exhaustion or heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately.

Stay cool, stay safe, and keep those paws protected! ❤️🐾
