And...Evie is EATING!! 🎉
This is what we've been waiting for. I think we can safely say she is out of the woods now. She still has a lot of healing to do but now she has the nutrition she needed. Hopefully, we can revert back to capsule pain meds and that part won't be such a fight anymore. Then we can begin building her up.

Evie is on her way home! Mama Lynn got lots of kisses!

Evie's swelling is continuing to improve. She has a bit of necrosis inside her mouth but overall, she is doing so much better.

The hyperbaric therapy has made all the difference. Thank you, Teri (and Drake) for ALL you do, especially the extra care and love for little Evie. We are so grateful for All Creatures Hyperbaric Care LLC.

The goal now is to persuade Evie to eat, keep her as quiet as possible, watch for necrosis and give her time to heal. Lynn, you've got your work cut out for you.

Thank you to everyone who supported Evie, her team and DRC through this.

Evie says hi! I delivered liquid pain meds today and got kisses!
Evie is eating but only roasted chicken. The girl has become quite the picky eater. And by now, she is convinced that every bite might have a hidden pill...
Trust me, she has about 10 choices and all are suspect. So, chicken it is.

The swelling is improving. We are still watching closely for necrosis. Her eye is still swollen, as is her leg and face. From what we can tell, she was bitten on her right jaw, scraped by fangs on her ear and one fangs above her eye.

Evie goes home with her Mama Lynn in the morning. Teri has been so good with Evie and we are so grateful.

The swelling is finally improving. One day at a time...today is a good day!

Last Evie update for the night:
She is eating a little bit. She HATES her pain meds and it has been a real battle to get them down her. The swelling is decreasing slowly. She seems to love the hyperbaric therapy! Right now, the biggest battle is eating and meds, both of which are critical. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a bit easier.

Evie Update!
She is drinking and has finally accepted a few bites of chicken. ❤️ The swelling is improving a bit but also moving into her leg. This could be gravity or a reaction to the sub-Q fluids. She is in the best of hands with Teri. We are watching very closely.

Evie will continue to receive hyperbaric treatments to lessen the swelling and help with healing the affected tissue. Her pain seems to be lessening. Keeping pain meds onboard is quite difficult but Teri is working through it. We are thankful to have access to All Creatures Hyperbaric Care LLC.

We are so grateful to Teri and to all of you who are supporting her care!
Yesterday was a tough day, a scary one. Today is a small win and we are happy!

For those of you who don't know Evie, she is deaf and vision-impaired so she spins, it is her way of locating. She is an incredibly smart dog and I am so proud of how she has adjusted to all of the changes in the last few days.

Please keep her in your thoughts as she continues to recover from multiple snakebites.
