You may not know that service providers and retailers pay a higher fee on Cashback Credit Card transactions. Something to think about when paying for services at a small business... your hair stylist, your manicurist... 2.5 to 4% out of every dollar put on a credit card sale comes out of the profits of the business and adds up quickly. That is why many small businesses add a convenience fee to a credit card transaction. They are not making a profit... simply trying to break even. We appreciate all of our beloved clients that pay with cash or check whenever possible. When adding a tip for your talented stylist and spa tech, consider that 2.5 to 4% of your tip goes to the credit card company. Your tips make a difference in the lives of our staff. Thank you. We appreciate you so very much!

On August 28, 2026, one of our dearest staff members was diagnosed with an aggressive form of colon cancer. Shelby Defibaugh has been with A Fortunate Dog Spa for three years. She is just 34 years old and does not have health insurance. She is kind, loves all of your pets, treats them with respect, and provides each of them with compassionate grooming care. Shelby has probably groomed your best friend a time or two, and if they could talk, you would know Shelby made it a beautiful experience for them. She needs our help! Her medical bills are mounting fast, and because she has applied for assistance, she has to quit her job. She has given so much of herself to caring for our beloved pets and to her spa team. She and her partner were in the middle of building their life together, and now, not only is she fighting for her life, but they are also being buried in medical debt. I hope that you can find it in your heart to help Shelby in her time of need. PLEASE CLICK THE LINK IN THE POST BELOW TO DONATE THROUGH GO FUND ME. Fido Fun fact: The Boston Terrier is known as the American Gentleman, originating in Boston, Mass. around 1870. This tuxedo wearing canines are one of the very few dog breeds originating in the United States. The Boston Terrier Club of America formed in 1891, and they were allowed membership into the American kennel Club in 1893.
The Boston Terrier, typically, has a keen- friendly, happy-go-lucky personality and are generally eager to please and easily trained.
Their smooth coats allow for low-maintenance grooming care, as compared to other coat-types, though nails and face folds require regular attention.
These smart, energetic dogs make wonderful canine companions. We love seeing them at the spa.
