Puppies are so much fun! But they’re also learning everything about how to navigate the world.

That’s why early training matters so much.

During a puppy Board & Train, we don’t just teach your puppy to sit, stay, and walk on a leash. We’re building the foundation for the dog they’ll become.

Loose leash walking teaches puppies how to move through the world without constantly fighting against the leash. We work on engagement, impulse control, navigating distractions, settling, and learning that sometimes… nothing exciting is happening.

Because yes, puppies need to learn how to be bored.

They need to learn that they don’t get to greet every person, chase every leaf, investigate every dog, or move at full speed every second of the day. Learning to tolerate frustration and settle when nothing is happening are incredibly valuable life skills.

Our puppy Board & Train program focuses on building those skills while your puppy is still developing their habits and learning how the world works.

The goal isn’t a puppy who performs a perfect obedience routine.

The goal is a puppy who grows into a confident, adaptable dog who knows how to navigate everyday life.

The earlier we build those foundations, the more we have to work with as your puppy grows.

Everyone gets in on the act when it's time to work with puppies. Honey is here to learn her basics during her board and train. She gets to learn how to handle bathing, basic husbandry, and all the fun leash, in manner, stuff that puppy hood needs to have in the beginning.

Some dogs just become part of the family, and Sophie is definitely one of those dogs. ❤️

Sophie is one of my regulars, and this sweet girl is an absolute sweetheart every time she comes to stay with us.

Because of her kidney failure, Sophie requires a little extra medical care while she’s here. One of the things we do for her is administer her fluids during her stay. It’s just one more part of making sure she’s comfortable, supported, and getting the care she needs while her family is away.

Caring for dogs isn’t always just about walks, playtime, and cuddles. Sometimes it means knowing their individual medical needs, following their care plan carefully, and being comfortable providing that extra level of support.

And honestly? We’re pretty happy to be one of Sophie’s safe places.

She’s a sweetheart, she knows the routine, and she always gets plenty of love while she’s here. 🐾
