UPDATE. 9/6. Knox ate a little during the night on his own. He’s so cold so I’ve got warming blankets on him. He’s not out of the woods yet.
He’s had his iv fluids. Those blood cells need to multiply. I’m checking him constantly to make sure he’s breathing.

is now settled in foster. Long day. He’s taken his meds & had his iv fluids. Basically he’s skin stretched over bones. Dehydrated, malnourished skin infection, low blood count.
Good news is the transfusion has him growing baby blood cells. He had a bath so hopefully that helps the itchy & little annoying parasites. He is wormy. He’ll need to have his blood checked a couple times a week & on diet to help increase blood cells. He is better than Thursday. But he still has a long road ahead.

He won’t be up for adoption for quite
a while. And he will have more vet bills.
He will be sleeping a lot.

Knox. I am at the ER Vet waiting to get checked out. He is pitiful. He is standing & wags his tail for a minute. Then lays back down. He has no fat he is starved!
This is sad that people can do this. And these are just the ones we know about. There’s way more abuse neglect that we ever hear about

KNOX UPDATE

Knox is up and moving and they said very active.

He will be transferred this morning to er vet in louisville.

Can’t thank All4Paws in Georgetown, KY that jumped right in & used their dog for blood donation & transfusion.

TRANSPORT COVERED. We will need transport from Georgetown, KY to Louisville, KY 9/4. 10-11am for Knox to be transferred to ER vet

UPDATE. Knox is at vet He’s in very poor condition. He has sarcoptic mange, anemic, dehydrated. He is getting a blood transfusion now but his prognosis is very grim. We have consulted several vets. If he can make it thru tonight he will get transferred to Louisville to the ER vet and stay there under close supervision.

Let’s pray, sling some healing drool & just hope he makes it tonight. He deserves a chance.
