ADOPTED: Hello! Weāre Breeze and Sunday, and if thereās one thing you should know about us, itās that sometimes love really does find you when you least expect it. Breeze here (blue bar, female)- Iām a 2025 racing homer who arrived at the rescue with a broken wing and a heavy heart. And Iām Sunday (check, male), a 2026 racing homer who was found weak and alone outside a local restaurant on Motherās Day. I was still so young I squeaked like a baby! We both ended up in the loving care of our rehab foster, Rachel, and somewhere between the medications, cozy naps, and healing, we found each other.
Our pasts may have been difficult, but our future has always been side by side. We spent our recovery cuddled together, finding comfort in someone who understood exactly what the other had been through. Weāre proof that even racing survivors can find peace, safety, and a little romance after leaving that life behind. These days, youāll usually find us snuggled close, content just being together.
As a bonded pair, our greatest love will always be each other, but thereās still room in our flock for you. Once we learn that weāre safe, weāre both gentle, friendly pigeons who enjoy the company of kind people. With patience, understanding, and a little time, we can become wonderful flock-mates and companions. If youāre looking to welcome not just two pigeons, but a genuine love story into your home, we think youāll find ours is pretty special.
