Lisianthus photo shoot!💓

We ran a month behind this year and planted our Lizzies in April instead of March. Surprisingly, they bloomed exactly on time with gorgeous, long stems! ✨ Lucky for us, the hot and wet season worked its magic. Bonus? A month late planting equals a month less of weeding... maybe we’re on to something here!

For every post like yesterday’s there’s 10 days like this.
Hot as hell, weeding dahlias we JUST weeded, sweat dripping into my eyes and stinging, no breeze, dirt everywhere and can I even take it?!
Then this song comes on and I’m dancing in the field and feeling so grateful this my job. This song reminds me of my dad and very fitting for today. After all hot farm days is after all…

We stopped growing delphinium after loosing it several times in the past and concluding it needed a hoop house. But give it five years and bam, I had to try again. Glad we did. Aral says Dalton is the magic we needed. 😍
