130 more cat colonies have a warm shelter this winter 🐾

On Sunday, we hosted our annual Winter Shelter Distribution, in which we gave out over 130 winter shelters to caretakers in our community.

Caretakers lined up their cars outside our gates, and a team of our wonderful volunteers led the whole operation, handing out 1 shelter per vehicle!

Thank you to all the caretakers who came out! Over 755 community cats will be warm this winter because of these shelters.

Couldn't make it? You can still help keep community cats safe and warm by building your own winter shelters at home.

Check out comment section for instructions on where to find supplies and how to create your own—and visit our website at https://alleycatadvocates.org/creating-winter-shelters/

Lets help outdoor community cats to stay warm all winter long 😻

Meet Beast Boy!

He came with his momma through our Trap-Neuter-Return program. His mom was spay and returned back home to her caretaker, but he has a couple of medical concerns he needs healing up from before he can return back home.

As seen by his crusty eyes, he is being treated for an upper respiratory infection. When he first arrived, his eyes were SO goopy! Not seen in the picture his dirty litterbox, because Beast Boy here also has a bad case of diarrhea 💩

He is on medication to recover, and is very friendly! He is schedule for his neuter surgery on October 20th! Wish him luck (and send over some donations for his care) 🍀💸

Today we are celebrating Sarah! 🎈🙌

It has been two years since Sarah started working with us as an accountant. She has been an active volunteer for a few years now, and is also on our Board of Directors. Thank you, Sarah, for all that you do for community cats!

In her picture, she is holding her newly adopted kitty, Deano, who she met at Alley Cat Advocates, and fostered at Louisville Metro Animal Services, before deciding she wanted to keep Deano in the family!
