Said goodbye to one of my OG’s tonight.
He’s off chasing rabbits and walking along every retention wall he can jump up onto. Eating paper and crayons like a boss. He’s stretched out enjoying the sun, being fed never ending treats, and enjoying forever scratches behind the ears. You’re free, Oliver! What a good boy. I’ll miss your sweet face…🌈💔🐶🐾😢

PSA: Sitting on Dogs is NOT Cute—It’s Dangerous! Don’t gets us wrong, we love seeing kids and dogs form strong bonds, but there’s an alarming trend we need to address: children sitting or standing on dogs. While it might seem cute in pictures, it’s actually a major safety risk—for both the child and the dog.

Here’s why this needs to stop:

🐶 Dogs Are Not Furniture – Even the most patient, well-trained dog has limits. Sitting on a dog can cause pain, stress, and even injury, leading to a bite or other negative reactions.

⚠️ Safety First – No matter how “good” a dog is, any animal in discomfort or distress may react instinctively. Many bites happen because dogs are pushed past their comfort zone.

💔 Respect Builds Stronger Bonds – Teaching children to respect a dog’s space and body helps create a safe, trusting relationship. Encourage gentle petting, training games, and appropriate play instead!

Let’s set dogs (and kids!) up for success by promoting safe, respectful interactions. If you see a child sitting on a dog, please step in and educate. Protect the ones who can’t speak for themselves.
