Sometimes the hardest part of a groom isn’t the grooming.
It’s seeing what a dog has been carrying.
Under all of that matting was a sweet, nervous boy who just needed some help.
We got him cleaned up, comfortable, and able to move freely again.
And sometimes, when it’s over, you just feel it.
This one got to Kevin. ❤️

Lucy and Deuce had some VERY important post groom business to attend to with Kevin and Michael.

Sometimes grooming isn't about making a dog look nice.
It's about making them comfortable.
This sweet boy was brought to safety by 502 Dogs on the Run, then welcomed by Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue, who reached out to us with an urgent grooming request.
When rescue calls, you don't always get to plan for it. Sometimes you simply stay late because a dog needs help.
Thank you to Tara Bassett and 502 Dogs on the Run for getting him to safety and to Adopt Me Bluegrass Pet Rescue for trusting us to be part of his journey.
Every rescue is a team effort, and we're grateful we could play a small part in giving him a fresh start.
