BASIC OBEDIENCE L1🦮

Ready to build a better relationship with your dog and make everyday life a little easier? Our next Basic Obedience L1 Group Class starts Monday, September 21st at 7:00 PM! 🤎

Over 6 weeks, we’ll work on the skills that create a strong foundation for a well-mannered dog, including:

✨ Basic obedience & commands
✨ Leash walking
✨ Focus & impulse control
✨ Recall
✨ Everyday manners
✨ Skills you can continue practicing at home

This morning, we showed you where the maggots are picked from wounds and the tiniest newborns are fed with a tube.

This is the raw reality of bottle baby rescue at BTBB Headquarters. Day 1 of Open House Week is all about showing you the hard work and the standard of care your donations provide.

We are pulling back the curtain so you can see why every single bid matters. We don’t just rescue; we provide critical, neonatal intensive care.

He’s working on the basics with a big focus on jumping on people and leash work. He’s also a little shy, so we’ll be helping him build confidence and become more comfortable in new situations along the way. ❤️

Their mom died a week ago, and at just 11 days old, these six tiny Shih Tzu puppies were running out of time.

Their owners had been doing their best to bottle-feed them, but they didn’t know puppies this young also need a steady heat source because they cannot regulate their own body temperature.

The puppies grew cold. Then they started going downhill.

Two died before their owners realized how serious the situation had become and called for help.

We immediately arranged transport for the six survivors. On the way, the transporter stopped at a gas station for hot water bottles and began carefully rewarming them.

By the time they reached our nursery, they were warm—and very hungry.

We first rehydrated them carefully with electrolytes before slowly introducing formula. Today, all six are eating well and maintaining their body temperatures. We are incredibly relieved, but they still need round-the-clock feedings, safe heat, clean bedding, and close monitoring as they grow.

Please welcome the M puppies: Marvin, Max, Margo, Marlon, Mason, and Milton. These fluffy little survivors have already lost their mom and two siblings, but tonight they are warm, fed, and safe.
