Think about this human research may be so very telling for our dogs!

"Researchers exploring that question were surprised to find that minimally and highly processed meals nutritionally matched on calories, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, water, salt, and weight produced distinct metabolic responses.

The ultraprocessed meals prompted the body to release more insulin and expend more energy while burning less carbohydrate for fuel. They also evoked different responses in the part of the brain involved in motivation and reward.

So we are told that only safe way to feed is to feed 100% ultra processed food to our dogs- kibble. So that means we can safely say Ultraprocessed foods represent most of our dog's intake and daily calories. Diets worldwide are also shifting to include more of such foods, which are formulated to be convenient, accessible, affordable, and highly palatable, making them easy to overeat.

Most nutrition science suggests that meals with the same basic nutritional profile will have the same impact on a person’s blood sugar. But is there something about food processing itself that influences how our bodies respond?

A new study from Virginia Tech answers that question. ➡️ bit.ly/4dVtKK8

Learning about other ways to get in sync with the seasons and mother earth are powerful educational opportunities to create longevity.

The Autumnal Equinox is time to look at the Medicine Wheel. The season has changed and so does the Directional focus. We have entered fall which is the West on the wheel. The West is protected by the bear and the color is black. The days will grow shorter, and this Direction tells us to work on our intuition, this is the season to look inward.
