Not every cat has a home, but every cat deserves compassion.

Today is Global Cat Day, and we're showing some extra love to the cats who call our community home!

Community cats may not have a warm couch or a family to curl up with, but they still deserve kindness, care, and protection.

At Louisa Humane Society, one of the ways we help is through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).

🐾 Trap: Humanely trap outdoor cats.
🐾 Neuter: Provide spay/neuter surgery and necessary veterinary care.
🐾 Return: Return them to their familiar outdoor homes, where caregivers can continue looking out for them.

TNR helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces outdoor cat populations over time, and improves the lives of community cats.

Every cat matters, whether they're curled up on your couch or living in your neighborhood. ❤️

Have a community cat you look out for? We'd love to hear about them!

Quirky, goofy Axel is a sweet boy whose world has gotten so much bigger now that he's in rescue. This boy was never inside a house or really was shown much affection. Now that he knows what toys, snuggles, and couches are there is no turning back! He's about 3 years old and good with dogs and cats. Bring him home at www.louisahumanesociety.com.
