Another shipment just arrived at The PetHouse, but we only received a limited number this round.

If your reptiles have been staring at you like you personally caused the cricket shortage, now’s your chance to make things right.

Breaking News: Our crickets skipped leg day.

The shipment is finally here... but apparently nobody told these banded crickets what size they were supposed to be.

Large = "medium energy."
Medium = "small confidence."
Small = "blink and you'll lose it."

Thanks to the nationwide cricket shortage after a major supplier went down, breeders have been rushing production just to keep shelves stocked. The result? Tiny overachievers.

The silver lining? These are banded crickets, and they're actually fantastic feeders—hardier, more active, and generally less smelly than the usual house crickets.

So while they may be having a bit of an identity crisis, they're here, they're hungry, and they're ready to become somebody's lunch.

THE CRICKETS ARE COMING!

The wait is almost over! After two long weeks of the Great Cricket Shortage of 2026, our tiny travelers are officially on the move.

We're turning this into a game of "Where's Waldo?"... except Waldo chirps.

Congratulations to Nina, the winner of the Perfect Order Master Set!

Thank you to everyone who came out to trade cards, enjoy some pizza, and make our Pokémon Trade Night such a great time. We had an amazing turnout and loved seeing everyone having fun.

We'll see you all again next month for another night of trading, giveaways, and great company!

It all started innocently...

Amelia wanted to collect Pokémon cards.

Then Mom bought a pack.

Now there are binders, sleeves, top loaders, booster boxes, and dinner conversations about pull rates.

Safe to say... things escalated quickly.

If your house sounds anything like ours, this one's for you.

Whether you're a seasoned collector, just getting started, a parent who "isn't collecting" (but somehow has a favorite card), or someone who still gets excited about cracking open a fresh booster pack...

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Bring your trade binder, meet fellow collectors, make some trades, and hang out on our patio while enjoying pizza from Brightside Pizza.

We'll have:
• Pokémon booster packs available for purchase
• Giveaways throughout the evening
• Plenty of opportunities to make some great trades
• Thousands of bulk cards from Mom's master set chase of Perfect Order and Chaos Rising. If you're trying to fill in those last few commons and uncommons, dig through our bulk—you might find exactly what you're missing.

We think that's the recipe for a pretty great Saturday.

Heads up, pawdicure fans and feeder shoppers.

The PetHouse will be closed July 3rd and 4th, which means there will be no nail clinic that Saturday.

Please plan ahead if your pet is due for a nail trim, or if your reptiles, amphibians, tarantulas, or other critters need crickets, worms, roaches, frozen feeders, or other snacks before the long weekend.

This will be Misty’s first “vacation” in 3 years, so there is a very real chance she has completely forgotten how relaxing works.

We will be back to our usual nail-trimming, treat-giving, feeder-bagging routine when we reopen.

Lucky is a hardworking Great Pyrenees with a very important job—guarding her 96-year-old dad's orchard. She spends her days protecting what matters most, and today it was finally her turn to be taken care of.

She arrived with heavy matting, fleas, more ticks than we'd like to count, hot spots, and enough dirt to plant another orchard. A few hours, a lot of shampoo, and plenty of TLC later, this sweet girl is feeling like herself again.

These are the dogs we absolutely love working on. Not because they're the easiest, but because you can see the difference you made. Watching a dog walk out cleaner, more comfortable, and happier than when they came in reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

Thank you, Lucky, for protecting the orchard. Today, we had the honor of protecting you.

“I like turtles…” and honestly, we get it.

How could you not fall in love with these adorable little Red-Footed Tortoises exploring the grass and taking life one tiny step at a time? We currently have two available and they’re looking for their forever homes.

With patience, a warm bath, gentle hands, and lots of love, even the most dramatic felines can learn to relax and trust the process. Every cat moves at their own pace, and we believe grooming should be built on kindness, respect, and understanding.
