Please call the shelter if you are interested in adopting any of the pets. Although we try our best to update this page, we cannot guarantee that the information here is up-to-date. Please note that the shelter is unable to 'hold' animals. Stray animals taken to the shelter are held for three business days to allow the owner to reclaim the pet. If they are not reclaimed they are available for adoption. Owner surrendered pets typically are available for adoption or rescue immediately. The temporary adoption fee per the Director is a non refundable $65.00 for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. The adoption fee covers the surgical sterilization, a one year rabies vaccination and a booster vaccination. If the pet is already spayed/neutered, the adoption fee is only $15

Jack 🖤

🐾 61133768
🐾 1 Year 9 Months
🐾 German Shepherd Mix
🐾 Owner Surrendered ( moving )
🐾 Neutered

Jack never expected to lose the only home he knew.

His family moved and left him behind, and now this handsome boy finds himself sitting in a shelter kennel, wondering where everyone went. It’s hard to imagine how confused and heartbroken he must feel. One day he had a home, and the next he was surrounded by unfamiliar sights, sounds, and faces.

Despite everything, Jack continues to greet people with hope in his eyes. He hasn’t given up on finding someone who will love him forever. He is a beautiful dog with so much love left to give, and he deserves a family that will see his worth and promise to never leave him behind again.

Jack isn’t looking for perfection, just a warm bed, a kind heart, and a place where he can finally feel safe and loved. Could you be the person who gives him the second chance he deserves?

Please come meet Jack and see for yourself what a special boy he is. Sometimes the dogs with the saddest stories make the most loyal companions.

Meet & greets are always recommended if you have fur babies and children.

🤎 Sweet as her name… Sweetie is ready for a fresh start. 🤎

Sweetie

🐾 60973107
🐾 3 Years
🐾 Belgian Malinois/ German Shepherd
🐾 Spayed
🐾 Owner Surrendered

Sweetie didn’t get her name by accident. This beautiful girl is exactly what her name suggests ,loving, gentle, and full of sweetness. She has so much love to give and is hoping to find a family that will see just how special she truly is.

Sweetie was owner surrendered after her family stated they were unable to keep her contained in their yard. Because of that, she will need a home with a secure yard and a family committed to keeping her safe. We don’t know the full story, but what we do know is that Sweetie deserves a chance to be loved, cherished, and part of a family forever.

Despite the changes in her life, Sweetie continues to show her sweet nature and kind heart. She is ready to leave shelter life behind and start the next chapter of her journey with people who will love her unconditionally.

Could you be the family she’s been waiting for?

Meet & greets are always recommended if you have fur babies or children.

🐾 1 Year 5 Months
🐾 German Shephed Mix
🐾 57 Pounds
🐾 Neutered

Meet Axel, a handsome boy with a heart as big as his smile. Axel first arrived at the shelter back in January, and since then he has worked so hard toward a brighter future. He was fortunate enough to be selected for the prison training program, where he graduated and gained valuable skills that will help him thrive in a home of his own.

Now Axel is ready for what he’s been waiting for all along , a loving family and a place to finally call home.

This sweet boy has so much love to give. He is loyal, affectionate, and eager to be someone’s best friend. Not only is he absolutely stunning, but he has the kind of personality that steals your heart the moment you meet him. Axel is ready to spend his days going on adventures, relaxing with his people, and being the devoted companion he was always meant to be.

After months of waiting and working toward this opportunity, all Axel needs now is someone willing to give him the chance he deserves.

Please come meet Axel at the Valencia County Animal Shelter. We truly believe that once you meet him, you’ll fall in love.
