After completing his chemotherapy for a**l sac adenocarcinoma, Shamrock gifted his family the ultimate prize — his very own “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow” 🍀🌈

Did you know that MASH has an entire Social Work Internship program for students who are currently completing their Master’s in Social Work at an accredited university? In fact, it is the only program of its kind in Los Angeles and one of only three in the entire state of California.

Social work students who intern with us play a vital role in our hospital while gaining hands-on experience in a niche & growing field. They provide short-term, crisis-level support & counseling to both clients (pet owners) of the hospitals, as well as to our pet caregivers (veterinary staff). Students also support the community at large through co-facilitating our pet loss support group, planning memorial events, and more!

We love watching our MSW interns grow in their social work skills throughout their placement with us. In Los Angeles, there are so many social service agencies where students can complete their field hours, and we are truly humbled that they chose us! They make a big difference every day in the lives of our clients and their beloved companion animals! 🩵 🐾 🤍

Through the ACVO-SAVES program, we’re proud to offer FREE eye exams for eligible working, guide, and therapy dogs 🐶💙

📅 Registration opens April 1st
📍 Exams will take place in May

Here’s how it works:

Paul Hobson earned his BvetMed from the Royal Veterinary College in 1976. He spent the first 18 years of his career working as a general practice veterinarian before discovering his passion for veterinary dentistry.

Since then, Dr. Hobson has dedicated his work to treating dogs, cats, and rabbits as a pet dentist. His love for his profession, his patients, and his team is evident in everything he does.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone—45 years as a veterinarian.

Thank you, Dr. Hobson, for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to improving the lives of animals.

🐾✨ Ophthalmology Success Story: Corita Jean

Meet Corita, a sweet 6-year-old terrier mix who came to our Ophthalmology team with a mass on her upper eyelid.

Using a wedge resection technique, Dr. Stonex successfully removed the mass and just 2 weeks post-op, Corita is healing beautifully! 💙

Her sutures are dissolvable and will fall out soon, and aside from some light scabbing, she’s back to living her best, happy dog life 🐶☀️

Moments like these are why we do what we do helping our patients heal and get back to the life they love.

🐾🎉 MASH out in the community!

We had an amazing time supporting the Firecracker Walk in Chinatown with over 300 dogs in attendance! 🐕❤️ From wagging tails to happy faces, it was such a great morning being there for our community (and ready to help if any pups needed us!).

Big thank you to everyone who came out and to our incredible MASH team for showing up and representing with care, compassion, and good vibes ✨

Who else loves seeing this many dogs in one place?! 😍
