Today its civilisation and Spain. So calm after the last port of Dakar, for which many didn't feel at all safe.

Video following which shows the chaos as many of the inaugural delegation thought they could just come on board. Security did a great job and I don't think we departed with any extra passengers.

Dakar today, interesting place. Took shuttle to main Independence Square and everyone stayed on to return to the ship. Lots of Senegalese came on as part of celebrations being its QM2s maiden visit but given we still have noro since Cape Town, I am surprised.

Just had the Captains announcement to say Noro is back as we sail north along the Angola coastline. Nothing new but a dammed shame, caused by a few selfish people who won't behave.

Have now left a fabulous sunny two days in Cape Town, heading to Walis Bay, Namibia, tomorrow. What a place.
