Good morning Commerce residents, this morning I had the opportunity to stop by Alebrije Dog Park in the City of Pico Rivera. Alebrije Dog Park had thei grand opening yesterday February 27, 2026. The Dog park is open to the public and is on the Southwest Corner of Rosemead Blvd / Gallatin Rd. It has areas for small/large dogs. It has a small parking lot but there is plenty of free parking in the area. As you can see it will be open 7am-Dusk. Closed on certain holidays (please see picture on sign for holidays). It will be closed on Thursdays for maintanace. I have included a picture of the Dog Park rules


Buenos días, residentes de Commerce. Esta mañana tuve la oportunidad de visitar el Parque Canino Alegibre en la ciudad de Pico Rivera. El Parque Canino Alegibre se inauguró ayer, 27 de febrero de 2026. El parque está abierto al público y se encuentra en la esquina suroeste de Rosemead Blvd y Gallatin Rd. Cuenta con áreas para perros pequeños y grandes. Tiene un estacionamiento pequeño, pero hay mucho espacio gratuito en la zona. Como pueden ver, estará abierto de 7:00 a. m. al anochecer. Cerrado algunos días festivos (consulte la imagen del letrero para ver los días festivos). Cerrado los jueves por mantenimiento. Incluyo una imagen del reglamento del parque.

I called Commerce City Hall last Monday, to ask, how many dog licenses we have in Commerce? Today is the 11th day and still no response from city hall. I wonder, why it is taking them so long to return the call. I know the city was founded in 1960 but with all the new technology, I would think they would be able to deliver residemts requests faste. I need these numbers to complete my petition for the City of Commerce Dog Park! !SMH

Me pregunto por qué tardan tanto en devolver la llamada. Good morning City of Commerce residents, I am here ar Alebrije Dog Park in the City of Pico Rivera. The dog park is on the South/West Corners of Rosemead Blvd/Gallatin Rd., It is on the Northern entry to Pico Rivera. As you can see, it is sub-divided into 2 sections, it has water drinkimg fountains, benches, a few playground equipment but mainly area to run around and have fun. It also comes with a small 8 car parking lot, however there is a ton of parking in the sorrounding area. I have received concerns from our residents about the affect the construction of the dog park will have on our operational city budget. The dog park can be built usimg monies from Measure AA, Measure AA collects $6-7 million dollars a year, this measure was passed by the residents of Commerce to address infrastructure throughout the city. The dog park would qualify under new infrastructure in the city. Iam trying to get our dog park built here in the city with little or no impact to our city's operational budget.




Buenos días, residentes de la Ciudad de Commerce. Me encuentro aquí en el Parque Canino Alebrije en la Ciudad de Pico Rivera. El parque canino está ubicado en la esquina suroeste de Rosemead Blvd. y Gallatin Rd., en la entrada norte de Pico Rivera. Como pueden ver, está dividido en dos secciones, cuenta con bebederos, bancas, algunos juegos, pero principalmente con un amplio espacio para correr y divertirse. También tiene un pequeño estacionamiento con capacidad para ocho autos, aunque hay mucho estacionamiento disponible en los alrededores. He recibido inquietudes de nuestros residentes sobre el impacto que la construcción del parque canino tendrá en el presupuesto operativo de la ciudad. El parque canino se puede construir con fondos de la Medida AA, que recauda entre 6 y 7 millones de dólares al año. Esta medida fue aprobada por los residentes de Commerce para mejorar la infraestructura en toda la ciudad. El parque canino calificaría como nueva infraestructura para la ciudad. Estoy trabajando para que nuestro parque canino se construya aquí en la ciudad con un impacto mínimo o nulo en el presupuesto operativo municipal.

This is the Dog Park that will be opening soon in Pico Rivera. It will be on the corners of Rosemead Blvd and Gallatin Rd. My good friend Genaro Moreno worked with my other good friend Mayor of Pico Rivera Gustavo Camacho, who led the way for the construction of the Alebrije Dog Park. I will work and be adviced by these great friends to bring a Dog Park to the City of Commerce!🐩🦮🐕‍🦺🐶




Este es el parque para perros que pronto abrirá sus puertas en Pico Rivera. Estará ubicado en la esquina de Rosemead Blvd y Gallatin Rd. Mi buen amigo Genaro Moreno trabajó con mi otro buen amigo, el alcalde de Pico Rivera, Gustavo Camacho, quien impulsó la construcción del Parque para Perros Alebrije. ¡Trabajaré y me asesoraré con estos grandes amigos para traer un parque para perros a la ciudad de Commerce! 🐩🦮🐕‍🦺🐶
