I want to help Ryza and Spooky find their perfect families without charging an adoption fee and with a little help, I’m hoping to make that possible.🐾🫶

My goal is to cover their care through donations so that, when they’re ready, I can focus entirely on finding the right home for each girl without needing an adoption fee to recover those costs. They’ll still go through a thoughtful adoption process, because finding families who can meet their needs and love them for life is what matters most.

Over the years, I’ve paid for all of my fosters out of my own pocket. This is the first time I’m asking the public to be part of that care. I wish I could afford to do it all myself, but what I can give these girls is a safe home, food in their bellies, professional training, and the love and time they need to prepare for their next chapter.

I’ve created an Amazon registry for Ryza and Spooky, and every item donated helps make this goal more possible. If you’ve ever wanted to help a foster dog but couldn’t take one home, this is a way to be part of their journey.💕

They also have some medical care ahead of them. Ryza’s teeth are not in the best shape, and she’ll likely need a professional dental cleaning. Spooky needs to be spayed and receive her rabies vaccine before adoption. Once I have veterinary estimates, I’ll share them and ask for help with those expenses as well.

You should be 8 years old today.
I wish I knew what you would look like now. I wish I had more years, more adventures, more cuddles, more ridiculous moments, more pictures..just more you.

But watching these memories back, I’m reminded that for the time I was lucky enough to have you, we really did live. We learned together, worked together, explored together, played together, and built a bond that became such a huge part of who I am.

There are dogs who come into your life and there are dogs who leave imprints on your soul. You were mine.

And that’s what makes days like today so complicated. I’m so grateful that you existed, so grateful that I got to love you, so grateful for every memory.

And at the exact same time, I would give anything to be making new ones with you today.

I hope wherever you are, you somehow know that you are still remembered, still talked about, still missed, and still so deeply loved.

Thank you for giving me the time of my life, Fury.

A little glimpse into the heart behind A Purtee Pack.

Dog training has never just been about teaching commands to me. It’s about learning the dog in front of me, understanding what they’re communicating, and helping their human learn how to communicate back.

Every dog is different, every person is different, and the best training comes from meeting both of them where they are. Then building the clarity, confidence, structure, and trust they need to move forward together.

After years in this field, I still never want to be the trainer who thinks I know it all. I want to keep learning, refining my craft, challenging myself, and becoming a better trainer and teacher with every dog I meet.

Because the goal has never been perfection.

It’s helping dogs feel understood, helping humans feel capable, and creating relationships that actually change lives. 🖤
