The REAL Bark is proudly known as a Non-Profit Rescue that takes on the most difficult of cases. The Paralyzed, and Traumatized have a safe spot with us as we do lengthy rehabilitation with a regular rotating number of special ‘Project Pups.’

From the streets and shelters of Los Angeles, to International dogs in dire need, we humbly – and for years – have been taking discarded, abused, and forgotten lives into our own – healing them – and gently placing them back on a path toward a NEW Protected + Celebrated Life. The “REAL” in our Team name stands for:
RESPONSIBLE – ETHICAL – ANIMAL – LEAGUE.

💔A MUST READ: “ PLEASE TAKE MY SON.” - PLEASE pause and read THE LETTER left with this kid, Odi, when he was tied outside a firehouse and left with his bag of toys. One of the MOST heartbreaking letters.
“ I PROMISED HIM WE WOULD SEE THE WORLD BUT I CAN’T.”

We now have Odi. And he is a lovely little 15lb guy. LOVES other dogs and such a happy, little dude. YOU CAN TELL HE WAS LOVED. Odi is a gem, and good fortune will shine upon the person that continues his story and shows him ALL the future that his former owner, sadly, could not. Such a joy-filled, handsome, respectful lil guy thriving in foster with another pup.

Adopt Odi. You will become the missing piece in his beautiful, profound puzzle.

TINY ABANDONED MOTHER & DAUGHTER. These poor kids were a mess when scooped up by our peeps in Tulare. Aileen is about 3 years, and 10 lbs…and daughter Praline about six months, and half that weight. Both were dehydrated, matted, infested…and yet still SWEET. Despite the neglect & struggle they had endured. Lotta folks assume little ‘designer’ appearing dogs do not get abandoned. Think Again. Here’s the thing NOW: We KNOW they will both have amazing lives this day forward, and we will do the work to make that happen. We are just so THANKFUL that Jennifer & Staff at Tulare Animal Services lead with their hearts. Aileen & Praline: The Life Party is just gettin started…

HAVE YOU SEEN MISS NADINE? Please say Hello. This poor SWEET lady was neglected by her last owner, had a rough life on the streets, and was brought in as a stray to the shelter by a good person that found her and did not expect her to survive, and had been sitting at the shelter for FOUR months. Luckily for her, the good people in Tulare, kept her alive and did their damnedest to help her soul and body while she awaited rescue. TRB is thrilled to have Nadine here with us, and already working on her Road to Wellness.

CONRAD & BRODIE: BROTHERS SEEKING OTHERS. These two little adorable 12 week old sibs are ready to find their Adoptive Fams. Their mama is a poodle mix, and dad appears to be a Chi. No more baby time for mom, and happy to oversee that.
