The REAL Bark is proudly known as a Non-Profit Rescue that takes on the most difficult of cases. The Paralyzed, and Traumatized have a safe spot with us as we do lengthy rehabilitation with a regular rotating number of special ‘Project Pups.’

From the streets and shelters of Los Angeles, to International dogs in dire need, we humbly – and for years – have been taking discarded, abused, and forgot

ten lives into our own – healing them – and gently placing them back on a path toward a NEW Protected + Celebrated Life. The “REAL” in our Team name stands for:
RESPONSIBLE – ETHICAL – ANIMAL – LEAGUE.

No more baby time for mom, and happy to oversee that. THANK THEM for staying by you these many, never-boring years - noting the JOY + MAGIC they brought & bring.

REMIND THEM how strong, and important they are to you…and how they kept you living IN the moment.

TELL THEM ALOUD, again, the story about how they saved you when you thought you were finishing your own time in this life, but how them laying right next to you every second before and after brain surgery gave you ALL the healing strength.

PATIENTLY HOLD THEM up when they are trying to eat but their legs are too tired to stand. Remind them that they carried YOU plenty of times.

EXPLAIN TO THEM that your life has been Brighter & Wider in great part because of their Teaching.

LET THEM KNOW your bond is eternal…and you will hear them when they are ready, and they can climb right into the same arms that rescued them years ago, to gently FLY away.

SHARE WITH THEM that by merely existing in your world, they inspired THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of dogs to be SAVED in their honor.

REASSURE THEM that NEVER is the time you will say Goodbye…that it will only be: “I’ll look for you every day…and you WAIT, I’ll find you when I fly home TOO.”

Repeat.
Repeat.
Repeat.

WE ALL KNOW what is going on with our shelters. Beyond capacity - so when we can stop a kid from being dropped off there we will. This handsome, young, SWEET boy, Frito L.A., was headed there with a very nice woman who had to give him up because of landlord, and work issues. Frito lived with she and her three children and they LOVED him but could no longer house him, so instead of going in the shelter, he went to our vet, got a check up, a groom, and a NEW direction. Frito is gonna light up someone’s world. This 2.5 year old good scruffy guy is leggy, 17lbs, and looks like a Movie Dog. DM us to meet this charming, shy fellow, who we know is missing the children he was in love with.
Frito L.A. will lift your every day. Big ups to Mindy, Chela, Carla & Team, and his former family that just want him to be adored by a new fam.

🚨REJECTED. YES, these poor pups - more victims of overpopulation via no spay/neuter enforcement - were TURNED AWAY from two shelters they were brought into. No space, no accommodations for pups, and they would “die there anyway” was one reply they got.
Thanks to some quick hands + heads they made their way into LA and two a vet. ONE IS POSITIVE for Parvo so BOTH are being treated IN ISO.
Sad reminder of what DID NOT GET BETTER in 2025.
We have a year-end fundraiser up for exactly this kind of Rescue because vetting is insanely expensive. If you are interested and able to send a few dollars donation to it, that would be most welcome and appreciated.
Kudos to Connie, Clinton & Joey for advocating for these little babies to even have a CHANCE at Life.
Hold on, innocent babes…We are trying.

You might remember this terrified, shaking lil granny, Gingerbread, that was dumped at the shelter …Well, “someone” wants to let you know that she shakes No More, and is THRIVING in temp foster (thanks Joan & Larry) and looking for her New Family. Ginger 🧡s having a family & being in a home… and wants to do it again - with folks that will NEVER leave her. We are still shocked this charming lady was left behind. CHECK OUT this teenager, when she lets you know it’s time to go outside to use the facilities…😍 Great energy, big cuddler, lots of

MARKING 10 YEARS AS THE REAL BARK with a few SPECIAL SOULS that Shaped Us. We humbly Celebrate that we made it here, and have been able to impact so many lives - but we are gutted by how bad it is right now here in LA…so many animals await their last hope. The cost of vetting…The shelters and streets overflowing. But instead of paralyzing us…it PUSHES us.

We have been honored to be ABOUT IT and Rescuing for years before we banded as TRB. THOUSANDS of animals Scooped to Safety, Rehabbed, and thoughtfully placed into Loving Adoptive Homes. We have been getting our hands dirty and hearts stomped on for years. But we stand before you NOW - on this - ready to keep going, keep the Life Saving moving - With. Your. Help.
