Your dog is likely vaccinated to protect him/her against canine coronavirus strains. Except for your pocketbook, canine coronavirus will not affect you and it certainly won’t infect you. However, I explain here how your dog’s mouth, nose fur, etc can make him or her a ‘mechanical vector’ of disease and possibly even novel human coronavirus, albeit unlikely.... Don’t let everyone and their mother pet your dog. Wash your hands!
