💕ADOPT FRED! 💕

from Robert Cabral

Fred is an approximately two-year-old, 65 lb. super cool Belgian Malinois in need of a home!

This beautiful guy was picked up as a stray, and no one ever came for him.

To all of you who always ask for a very friendly and “easier” Malinois, Fred is it.

It don’t get any better than this. Super nice, good with people and dogs - does well in the playgroups and is a staff and volunteer favorite.

Just watch this video. Then watch it again. Please share, comment, tag your friends and put good vibes out for this awesome dog. A total gem. I love this guy. Kind of a fake malinois. All the benefits, none of the hassles.

Fred is at the West LA Shelter. All adoptions go through the shelter. I am only the messenger. I think this guys is gonna go fast."

We're so thrilled to share the news about this new low-cost clinic founded by Caravita Foundation! Please spread the word. 🙏

We’re so proud to share a major step forward for prevention in Los Angeles: the upcoming opening of the Caravita Clinic & Education Center at the Paws For Life K9 Rescue People & Pet Innovation Center!

Our clinic will provide 8,000+ spay and neuter surgeries annually, along with microchips and vaccines, for pets, animals from LA Animal Services, and community cats.

Led by Dr. Angelina Piccoli, a high-volume spay and neuter expert with more than 100,000 surgeries under her belt, our Education Center will help address a critical barrier to expanding this work: the shortage of veterinary professionals trained in high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter techniques.

Our vision is to create a replicable blueprint that empowers teams around the world to bring this model of care to their own communities, without having to reinvent the wheel.

We’re so grateful to everyone who has helped make this clinic possible, and we can’t wait to welcome you!

🚨SWEET RONDA IS NOW OUR LONGEST RESIDENT! 🚨🥲

Ronda is an adorable, playful and loving 7 yr. old Box mix who's been overlooked due to her kennel presence. She jumps excitedly when guests stand in front of her kennel, so people have no idea how what a sweet girl she really is. 🥰

We're so grateful to Robert Cabral and Janet Caroline Brown for taking the time to meet her and feature her. She's been waiting for almost a year and a half. 😢

Away from the shelter, Ronda is an affectionate, playful, and curious girl who loves going on walks and entertaining herself with toys. She also had a short break from shelter life a few months ago when she was fostered for a few days -- and she did GREAT!

If you're not able to adopt or foster, PLEASE share Ronda's post and help this deserving angel get seen & saved! 🙏

🍤 FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED FOR THE CATS OF WEST LA! 🐱🍔

We’re down to our last case of Fancy Feast, and we desperately need your help. ❤️🐾

The shelter provides standard wet food, but using higher quality wet food, like Fancy Feast, makes a huge difference for our cats. It’s familiar and especially appealing to owner-surrendered cats, helps seniors find their appetite (and the Gravy Lovers varieties add valuable moisture), and gives shy cats a reason to come forward.

A yummy meal also makes kennel cleaning less stressful for cats who are struggling, while the daily routine helps build trust. For many of our shy cats, mealtime is their favorite part of the day!

We know it’s been an especially difficult week, with several cats needing urgent rescue/medical intervention. The timing isn’t ideal, but the truth is our remaining cats at the shelter still need us and their meals while they wait to be adopted!

Please consider donating a case through the link in our bio. Every can helps.

With gratitude forever,
The West LA Cat Volunteer Team 🐱❤️

🚨 URGENT UPDATE ON MISFIT (NOW HONEY) 🚨

Many of you know Misfit (now Honey) 🍯 was adopted off the euthanasia list Friday. Unfortunately, he has taken a turn for the worse and needs urgent medical care.

He needs hospitalization which is estimated at roughly $3,000–$4,000 per day (please see attached estimates). His gums have become yellow, which can indicate a serious liver issue, but we don’t yet know exactly what is going on.

His adopter is asking for help with his medical expenses. We know Misfit accumulated the biggest fan club and want to give those the opportunity to help. If you’d like to donate to his medical expenses, you can Venmo Paige Sims

Even $5 helps. Please share. ❤️🐾
