Question: Any body got any tips for and anxious dog on car rides. It’s not the drive itself but the minute I pull up she starts with this really high pitched bark and just keeps going. I’m hoping someone has some tips to help settle her.

Answer: I’ve had a similar experience, and these tips worked for me:

Desensitize & Reward: Gradually get her used to the car by pairing it with treats and short, positive trips.
Use Calming Aids: Try calming sprays, chews, or her favorite toy for distraction.
Limit Triggers: Cover windows or use a crate if she’s overstimulated by the destination.
Teach “Quiet”: Train this command at home and reward calm behavior.
Stay Calm: Avoid reacting to her barking, so it’s not reinforced.
With consistency, it should improve! 😊
