Endo check in ✨️
A couple weeks ago Endo would have said, “Absolutely not” to the idea of this selfie. (John too.) 😂
The dog who has struggled to feel safe around strangers is starting to relax, engage, and learn that the world doesn’t have to feel so scary. Progress with dogs like Endo isn’t instant or linear… it’s built slowly through consistency, structure, trust, and a whole lot of patience.
Endo is working hard. (John too.)
To keep this momentum going, we need to ask for your help. 🙏🏼
For those just finding Endo’s story:
His dad, a US Navy Veteran, made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him to the South LA shelter during an incredibly difficult chapter in life, believing at the time it was the only way to give the dog he loved a chance at a better future. Even after surrendering him, he continued visiting the shelter to check in on his best friend. 🥹
Then Endo landed on the euthanasia list. The moment his dad found out, he rushed to reclaim him. He didn’t have a plan yet… he just knew he couldn’t let Endo’s story end there. What he didn’t know was that a community of helpers had already started mobilizing behind the scenes to find resources to keep them together.
Since then, advocates have helped Endo’s dad get him neutered and secure needed supplies. Our friends stepped in to help Endo learn how to safely navigate the world around him, and agreed to support them by fundraising through the Amigos Program.
Endo is making great progress but he needs some more time.
We need to raise an additional $1,500 to continue his training journey.
So we come to you all asking for help.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation of any amount to help Endo.
Please. This handsome boy deserves it. 🫶🏼
