le they can't be with you. The Dog House opened in 1995 as LA's first dog daycare center. Our experience benefits dogs of all shapes and sizes! The Dog House staff are experienced handlers who encourage socialization and play for a “dogs’ dog”, or provide compassionate companionship for the more human-oriented dog. The Dog House provides a loving environment for your dog in our unique facility - large enough for play, yet small enough to be highly supervised and maintained! We have central air conditioning, natural light all day through skylights, fresh air circulating constantly, and a small outdoor patio with gravel area for potty on one side. Our setup is also ideal in that there are areas where dogs can take a break from the action on our benches, the staircase to the office, the sunbeams on the other side of the patio, or The Zen Den, a special room for naps. To attend daycare, all new dogs must complete a social evaluation prior to the first visit which we call a "Meet & Greet". Meet & Greets are scheduled between 12-3 weekdays and 12-2 Saturdays, and take about 30 minutes to complete. A Meet & Greet is also needed for Grooming dogs who wish to be a part of the daycare pack before & after their groom. Please make an appointment by calling 323-549-9663, and take a look at the Daycare page on this site for more details about our policies. Please bring your updated, current vaccine records and proof of dog license with you so that we can make sure all paperwork is in order prior to the first visit. Reservations are not needed for daycare once your dog has "passed" the Meet & Greet - you may drop your dog off at your convenience! The Dog House is open for daycare Monday - Saturday. Weekday morning drop-offs begin at 7:30 and pick-ups are until 7 pm. If you need to drop off or pick up a bit earlier, we can often accommodate, so please call ahead to arrange with us. Saturday hours are 10-5.
