The Drool

The Drool "Building a better pet-friendly community one paw at a time" We started The Drool newsletter as a monthly publication in March of 2011.

The Drool team is comprised of a paw-full of dedicated volunteers that all met and continue to gather regularly at the Seemor Dog Park in Port Orange FL. Due to an overwhelmingly positive response from our community we decided to take The Drool to the next levels. We created a website, incorporated the organization and are now in the process of raising funds for the Seemor Dog Park pavilion and improvements.

Wow! Brilliant lesson!!

I’ve never seen a simpler/better explanation of this moment in history.

I’ve actually made that choice so the answer is a no brainer 👍

Never in a million years, could I have imagined that over 10 years ago, a simple mission. To enhance the world of Seemor Memorial dog park.

(Thank you Dixon family for lobbying for that ECHO grant. 🙏)

Would still be going strong.

A page, that I’ve been extremely negligent of engaging in. But I see it still has its own life. People still check it out. That’s a sign of good human beings. And dog lovers.

It came to fruition during a rainy walk when the park was closed for flea treatment. With Bob. My mom. And a few other folks.

That transpired into a passionate and loving project, to create a community newsletter. “The Drool” 🌹

Each month after printing newsletters, highlighting every visitor every dog.

Memorializing pups that we lost. With absolute support from the local business vendors who created the memorial on the fence to honor each one we had to send to the rainbow bridge. 🌈

Hosting countless fundraisers. Including the fire department and the police with drug sniffing dogs to do demonstrations.

And ultimately culminating in a vision. To make it possible to be able to go to the dog park in a wheelchair with a cement walkway. And sit under a covered area. So that anybody could go sit and enjoy the dog park rain or shine.

Giant shout out to the mayor. Giant shout out to the little girls that created T-shirts and would walk around asking for donations for rescues. Sophie’s Choice. Humane society. Family Days event. Giant shout out to everybody that believed that park was a community of amazing human beings who loved their dogs passionately.

One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, is leave all of those amazing humans and animals behind. But I can assure you when I landed in California in 2012. I tried to replicate making that difference at Creekside dog park. I have been blessed by the relationships and families And amazing animals that I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with.

I mean, who develops such tight relationships that you do doggy Friendsgiving in November? With incredible like-minded humans and about 20 dogs at your house. People that actually step up,love you, barter to care for one another’s dogs and truly make a difference in dogs lives.

Just wanted to say thank you. To all of you.

BOTH Seemor AND CREEKSIDE (coast to coast)

Absolutely heartbreaking! This rescue is close to home! In so many ways! Please socialize the need they have for fosters, volunteers, and most importantly people that will adopt!

📣 We’re honored that AGWC Rockin’ Rescue was featured in the LA Times in an important article highlighting a heartbreaking consequence of deportations — beloved pets being left behind.

No animal should be abandoned because their person was taken from them. 💔

We want to help however we can. If you or someone you know is being affected by deportation and is struggling to care for their pet, please reach out. Whether it’s providing pet food, supplies, or temporary support, we are here to help keep families together or ensure these animals are safe and loved.

🐾 Let’s raise awareness and stand up for both people and their animals.
