Animal control officers were shocked to find not one, but 16 small dogs abandoned at a park in Palmdale recently.

According to the County of Los Angeles Palmdale Animal Care Center, many of them had severely matted fur and were covered in dirt.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in tracking down whoever left the dogs there.

A dog is missing after running away following an incident involving an injured hiker in Sierra Madre. On Saturday evening, Sierra Madre Search and Rescue posted on social media that earlier in the day, they responded to a rescue along the Mount Wilson Trail. During the incident, the hiker’s dog, Mitsy, ran away. My office has partnered with The PAW Mission to bring a low-cost spay, neuter, and vaccine clinic to the Fourth District (Chino, Chino Hills, Montclair, Ontario, and Upland) on Friday, March 27, 2026.

During the event, spay and neuter services will be just $50. Vaccines will be available for $15 from 10 am - 2 pm, on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. This is a great opportunity to keep your pets healthy and help reduce pet overpopulation.
