Let’s talk household plants! ❣️

We love some greenery in our living spaces but did you know there are quite a few plants that could be toxic to your fur babes? 😮

Now most of these are when they are ingested, so having them in your house may be OK, just make sure they are out of reach from your pups paws! 🐶

A list of some potentially toxic plants are:

🌱Aloe Vera
🌱Snake Plants
🌱Pothos
🌱ZZ Plants
🌸 Lillies (yes we know it’s a flower)

With a quick google search you can fin a few more, however all of the above are more commonly known. 🪴

Did you know the oldest living dog was 29 (and 5 months) years old! ❣️

Bluey was an Australian Cattle Dog who hold the Guinness World Record for oldest dog ever lived. 🐾

She was born in 1910 and worked as a cattle and sheep dog for almost 20 years! 🐶

Bluey would follow her owners to the store in their small town in Australia. The people who lived there all knew her and she was passed and mourned her death. ❤️‍🩹

There are many claims that there have been fur babes who have lived longer, however Guinness World Records has since changed their requirements to help better track the age of dogs.

Did you know that poodles were originally bred to be water retrievers? This started in Germany, and even the name “poodle” originates from the word “pudel” or “pudelin” meaning “to splash in water” in German. ❣️

Poodles have endurance, and a great swimming ability that made them great companions for hunting game. They are also extremely intelligent and able to learn rather quickly! 🐶

Their coat helps them move through cold water and their athletic bodies helped with stamina! 🌊

Who knew! Learning the origins of some of our fur babe breeds is always interesting! 🐾

Did you know the world’s smallest dog is about the size of a dollar bill. 💵

Fur Babe, Pearl measures in at about 5 inches! She is a Chihuahua who is now Guinness World Record recognized as the world’s smallest dog! 😮

Pearl has since got a claim to fame and appeared on some television shows! 🐾

When she’s not traveling the world, she’s at home with her pawrents in Florida! 🐶

Did you know that your fur babe has their own unique personality? ❣️

There are specific questionnaires that have be developed to help create trait maps for a dog’s personality. Some of your pup’s personality traits are due to DNA rather their their life experiences. 🐾

You may think a dog’s breed has an big impact on their personality, however it actually comes down to the individual dog. Of course there are traits that can be breed specific, but two pups in the same litter could end up having completely different traits! 🐶

Brain activity, hormones, environment, our personalities all have an impact on our fur babes and what type of personality they may have. ✨
