While helping coordinate rescue efforts this past week for the shelter family (mom, dad, and 4 newborns), we’ve also continued moving forward with medical care for the Canyon 6 babies. 💛

We’re happy to share that Shireen recently underwent her spay surgery along with the removal of her severe incisor malocclusion. While she still has a road of recovery ahead of her, she has already been making wonderful progress since returning to BunnyLuv. We also got confirmation that she does have cataracts most likely caused by EC that was transferred to her by her mom.

She’s eating much better, spending more time outside of her hidey box, and slowly becoming more comfortable mingling with her sisters instead of isolating herself, likely after living with the ongoing discomfort of her overgrown teeth and repeated dental trims.

Watching that transformation, from frightened canyon baby to curious, social little bunny, has been incredibly rewarding for everyone caring for her.

With Shireen’s surgery now complete, we continue working toward the remaining surgeries and spay/neuter procedures needed to get the rest of the Canyon 6 healthy and adoption ready.

📣 UPDATE: Family has been saved.
A mama bunny, her newborn babies, and dad bunny urgently need help getting out of SEAACA. Mama and her babies need out by TOMORROW, May 15. We are desperately trying to find placement and need support from our community.

This sweet little family was brought into SEAACA together and they need a safe place to land. Because the babies are newborns and still completely dependent on mom, they will require special care and a foster home prepared to support a nursing mama and fragile babies.
We are looking for:

🏠 A foster home willing and able to care for a nursing mom and newborn baby buns
❤️ Anyone able to help us save them
Mama is described as friendly and handleable, and these tiny babies deserve the chance to grow up somewhere safe.

These six babies were recently rescued after being abandoned. They’re safe now, but they need our help:

Our “Party Like It’s ’96” photoshoot kicks off BunnyLuv’s 30th anniversary with disco balls, confetti, and unapologetically fun party vibes, just in time for National Pet Appreciation Day, because honestly, your bunny deserves this.

This themed session is all about capturing your rabbit’s personality in a playful, high-energy setting. Whether they’re bold, curious, slightly offended by everything, or fully embracing their main-character moment, we’ll meet them where they’re at (emotionally and physically… usually mid-snack).

Six little lives now safe, but they need our help 🐰💛

After 2 hours of searching through Franklin Canyon, a group of volunteer rescuers and kind strangers worked together to bring six abandoned baby rabbits to safety.

Now they’re here at BunnyLuv, 6 babies (4 girls, 2 boys), about 5 months old, in the softest shades of tan, gray, and beige. They’re incredibly beautiful and sweet, but came in frightened, covered in ticks, and in need of care.

Two of them require dental surgery for severely overgrown teeth, and all six will need their spay/neuter surgeries before they can be adopted.

That’s 6 surgeries + 2 urgent dental procedures and we can’t do it without you.

🐇🤍 Emergency Temporary Foster Needed! Sweet Free-Roam Indoor Bunny (Vaccinated, Microchipped, Supplies Provided) – Los Angeles, CA

Message from the owner to our bunny community:

Hello everyone,
I’m looking for a loving temporary foster home for my bunny Peta Peter 🐇🤍 while I travel to Europe for medical recovery.
Due to serious injuries from an animal-rights activism incident in 2022, I need to spend several months with family focusing on treatment and healing. 
Because airlines only transport rabbits in cargo (which is unsafe for her), I’m hoping to find a kind and experienced bunny home for her during this time.

About Peta Peter:
• 8-year-old female rabbit (spayed)
• Born June 11, 2018
• White fur, gray tail, blue eyes
• About 4.5 lbs
• Microchipped
• Vaccinated for RHDV2 (Feb 28, 2026)

Personality:
She’s happy, playful, and curious. Sometimes a little boss bunny, but very affectionate and gentle. She has lived peacefully with my cat and is used to a calm indoor environment.

Housing:
• Free-roam indoor bunny (never caged)
• Sleeps in her own space at night
• Loves running on her grass carpet and exploring
• She is litter trained and used to living indoors.

Support:
I will provide her food, litter, hay,  treats, and supplements, shipped to the foster via Amazon or eBay so there is no cost. I have bunny proofing metal racks that protect the walls. Basic veterinary care. 

Timing:
My departure is April 1, 2026, so I’d love to arrange a placement soon to help her adjust smoothly.

Finding a safe and loving home with someone who understands rabbits is incredibly important to me. She is deeply loved.

I’m unable to afford boarding at this time. 

Temporary Foster Agreement prepared, ready to sign.

We didn’t even realize the timing until later, but somehow it couldn’t be more fitting.
Tiramisu had incredible chemistry at speed dating and is now beginning her bonding journey toward a forever home 💚

Our Some Bunny to Luv Fundraiser this past Sunday, March 8th was a huge success! We are so grateful to everyone who participated in our raffle and to everyone who came out to enjoy an afternoon filled with love for bunnies, fun, drinks, community, and incredible drag performances by our amazing hosts Karen Beaches and Maxine On TV! ✨💃
