Upcoming schedule info!!
Since Doc's "vacation" ended up with a hospital stay, she's taking a little time off next week/weekend to attend her nephew's wedding.

Doc will be out of the office starting Thursday, 4/9 until Tuesday 4/14.

Wayfarer will be closing at NOON on Friday, 4/10 and will be closed on Saturday 4/11 (her niece, who is our part-time receptionist is also attending the wedding).

Wayfarer will be open the regular hours on Thursday and Monday.

Another week, more drama....
As you might know, Doc had a bad reaction to some blood pressure medication. She was in the hospital for a week.
During that time, they discovered an irregular heart beat, possibly due to the meds (which is why they kept her in the hospital).
She had a pacemaker implanted on Friday.
She's home now and is fine (except for being sore from the surgery to implant the pacemaker and REALLY cranky).
She goes back to her doctor next week and she'll be able to tell me when she can come back to work.
Again, she's fine, and appreciates all the well-wishes.
I'll add more when I know more!

So, things have kind of gone off the rails here at Wayfarer....
Doc had a bad reaction to some new blood pressure medication and ended up in the hospital on Sunday.
She's still there while they stabilize her BP and figure out what went wrong (and how to fix it).
This means a couple of things:
1. We currently have no doctor. If I had to guess (and seriously, it is only a guess), she'll be out the rest of the week.
2. Her vacation (she was supposed to leave on Friday) will be postponed for the time being. I have zero clue about when she'll be rescheduling.
3. She is fine. I spoke to her today and she's complaining about the hospital food, so I am much less worried.
I will keep you posted as to when she will be returning to work and when the new vacation plans are made.

Dr. Fernandez is going on vacation!
Her last day at work will be Thursday, January 22nd.
She will be back in the office on Tuesday, February 17th.
Wayfarer will be open our regular hours while she is away!

Christmas Eve: closing at noon

Starting on Monday, December 8th, Wayfarer will be doing dog baths again! Since Susanna (our new hire) is still being trained, we are only doing baths for dogs; no haircuts, no comb-outs, just baths.
We'll see how it goes and hopefully, we'll soon be able to add cat baths as well.
BUT, we need you to call and book an appointment in advance. Since she's just starting out, we don't want to overwhelm her (plus, she's still helping Doc with patients).
Hopefully, after the first of the year, Roberto will be cleared to come back to work and we can get back to normal!

Here are our Thanksgiving hours!
We will be closed on Thursday, November 27th, Friday, November 28th., and on Saturday November 29th.
(we had planned to be open on Saturday, but we have staffing issues (no receptionist or tech....)).
