Yesterday morning I opened the back door to let my boy Reese out into the fenced in yard. What I did not know was there was a man back there. He had opened the gate and let himself in unannounced. Reese went straight for him. He was snapping and biting. The man managed to put a lawn chair between Reese and himself. It was just enough for me to get a hold of Reese and bring him back in. The man claimed that he was working for one of the neighbors and he thought we were his customer. He gave me a name I did not recognize. He said he just went into the wrong yard. Reese never actually broke any skin. He only managed one nip and all he got was the guys pants leg before I got ahold of him. I told the man he was lucky. I have two German Shepherd Dogs. I had only let one out. I told him he really should knock on somebody's door before he lets himself into their fenced backyard. This incident really rattled me. If my dog had actually gotten this man, would my boy have been blamed? I look at this as trespassing. We have a very nice shed in the backyard. It is full of property. I really don't know what this man's intentions were. All the same, I told my boy he was a good boy. I think he was just doing what he's supposed to do.

Lately, I've been facing some tough financial times, and I had to make a difficult decision to sell my dog, Baekgu. It wasn't easy letting him go, but I couldn't afford to take care of him anymore. I found him a new home 300 kilometers away, hoping he would adjust well there.
However, it seems Baekgu's loyalty to me was stronger than anything else 😭. Despite the distance and the new owner, he managed to find his way back home after seven months. When he showed up at my door again, I was surprised and overwhelmed with emotion. It made me realize the depth of the bond we share, and I welcomed him back with open arms. I am not going to sell him now! Never!
