Foster or adopt Bruce!
Bruce is our newest street dog, and he urgently needs a foster starting this Friday 9/4!! He is a boxer x pit mix and is estimated to be about 1 year old.
He is a sweet and gentle pup, very submissive and timid around other dogs while he warms up, but shines as a playful young dog once he feels comfortable! He has done incredibly well with people and kids so far, spending time with children and happily allowing them to pet and play with him.
We think that he may have been living on the streets for some time, as he is very unsure about being indoors, although he appears to be potty trained as he has not had any accidents indoors at all since we picked him up! He doesn’t seem to really get toys yet, but really loves his Kong ♥️
He has some work to do on his leash manners, but tends to follow closely behind his handler and is calm in quiet environments. He also doesn’t always realize how big he is and is learning not to jump up when excited.
He is just a puppy and would really benefit from compassion, structure, and training while he adjusts to a new life off the streets, but he is such a sweet and gentle dog, we know he’ll be the perfect companion for the person who takes the time to teach him!
