Over the last four days, I had the privilege of attending something truly special—an experience hosted by and led by .ology and . Calling it a “seminar” doesn’t quite do it justice. This was an experience in every sense of the word.
From the start, the space felt warm, open, and genuinely welcoming—a place where questions were encouraged, curiosity was respected, and growth felt inevitable. Dr. Hilliard and Darshan created an environment that inspired deeper thinking, better training, and honest self-reflection.
This wasn’t about opinions or ego. It was clear that Dr. Hilliard has a deep love for science—but even more than that, he has a profound love for dogs. His lectures were refreshing, honest, and raw. Grounded. Real. They reminded me that understanding why we do what we do matters just as much as what we see on the surface.
Being a sponge in a room filled with this level of knowledge and integrity is a rare feeling. There is something special about learning from people who are sharing information for the right reasons—not to show off, not to inflate an ego, not to make a dog look impressive—but to truly understand training at its core.
The lecture on the quadrants sent me straight down a rabbit hole. I completely confused myself… and somehow came out the other side with a much deeper understanding. Not just of techniques, but of how every choice we make affects dogs—physiologically and emotionally.
I’m already applying what I’ve learned, and it hasn’t even been a full afternoon since it ended. I genuinely feel like a better trainer because of this experience.
Truly impressed. Deeply grateful.
And here Gertie and I come—fold back down.
Gertie, you’ve got this. 🖤
