It is with great sorrow that I share the sad news that my beloved dog, Jack, passed away today. I adopted him on January 12th, 2011 from a rescue organization in Hollywood, and from that day until this one, Jack was rarely not by my side. He loved unconditionally, and was the best dog I've ever met. Anyone who met him would say the same. Jack was not your ordinary dog.

He now waits for me at the Rainbow Bridge, where 'all the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by' - Jack waits for us there, patiently, dreaming of belly rubs, chicken bits, soapy baths, ball fetching, car rides, ear scratches, and howling with delight at all things that brought joy to his life, and ours. Thank you Jack. I love you.

Well, old age is creeping on me folks! I'm having surgery this Friday to remove a mammary gland that might be pre-cancerous. Doctors have said there's very little to worry about, and I'll be back on my feet in a week. One positive note: I won't need to wear that 'cone of shame' around my neck - I never figured out how to lick my belly or man-bits!
