Every dog deserves the opportunity to feel calm and confident. This session focused on helping a reactive, insecure dog learn they don’t have to respond to every distraction. Through structured walking, clear communication, and consistency, we’re building confidence, improving impulse control, and strengthening the trust between dog and owner. Elsa used to struggle on walks, reacting strongly to other dogs like Cokey in the photo. She had some prior training, but ran into difficulties unlocking her full potential—until now. After just three lessons, she’s coexisting calmly with her new friend Cokey. Also may I add was unbelievably relaxed at the vets office too. Today we had a historically reactive pug and a high-energy young pup working side by side… calmly. No drama. No chaos. Just dogs practising self-control.

Benji is full of character, heart, and opinions and honestly that’s what makes him great.
He came in with reactivity and has done the work. With structure and training, he shows just how capable he is and how much he enjoys having clear rules. He’d love to be the only dog soaking up all the attention, but with the right introduction you can see he can live with another dog too.
Benji adores his humans, lives for running alongside a bike, and then completely switches off at home. When it’s time to sleep, he is committed. Deep, unapologetic, expert-level napping.
And yes, this part matters. Benji comes with training from Lucky Pup. Real training. Foundations, structure, and guidance already in place, not a dog starting from zero. That is huge and it sets him and his next home up for success.

Meet Gaston 🇫🇷🐾
Gaston is currently with us for boarding, but even in a short time this is what basic structure can achieve when it’s done properly.
He came in with a history of reactivity and very little self control. Big emotions, no off switch. With calm handling, clear boundaries, and consistency, he’s now holding a stay with distance from his handler and making far better decisions.
Gaston needs a home, ideally with someone who understands that structure isn’t punishment, it’s clarity. With the right guidance, he’ll continue to progress.
This is exactly why structure matters. At Lucky Pup, we teach owners how to create this at home, because behaviour doesn’t change with hope, it changes with leadership.
