We get asked this ALOT - what is the right age to start crate training??

In our experience puppies react very differently to being closed in a crate so there’s no one size fits all approach.

You want to introduce it early on in their playpen without closing the door so they gain positive associations with their crate right away.

Dogs are den animals so theoretically if you do it right crates can be a cozy safe space that your dog enjoys spending time in.
