Many dogs develop lumps and bumps that are not cancerous, for example:
π’ Lipomas: Fatty tumors that are soft, movable, and usually harmless. Common in older dogs.
π Sebaceous Cysts: Blocked oil glands that form small, firm bumps filled with sebum.
π£ Histiocytomas: Raised, red bumps that often appear suddenly, particularly in younger dogs.
π΅ Warts (Papillomas): Caused by a virus, these small, cauliflower-like growths are typically seen in younger or immune-compromised dogs.
π‘ While many lumps are harmless, it's always best to have them checked. Our clinic offers cancer screenings with the HT Vista device to determine if a lump is benign or needs further testing β all in just 40 seconds with a pain-free, needle-free scan!
