Some 2025 babies who are newly established and ready for new digs 🥰

Keep an eye out for them on my Morphmarket! I'll also be bringing them to Repticon in Costa Mesa, CA this weekend! Catch me at down the middle row. I've also got a big surprise I'm excited to announce!

This cute shy girl's name is Diglett! She was part of my 2024 frosted clutch, one that was very dear to my heart for reasons I explained in my posts about Cookie Dough. She was the second smallest of her clutch, hatching at just 2.4 grams (the only one smaller was Cookie Dough, who was 2.39g).

She gave me a run for my money for my first breeding season. At first she would take scented meals, then her first winter she went off food. She finally took a scented meal again in May 2025, went into shed, and after she shed she started enthusiastically taking unscented meals every time!

She hasn't missed a single meal since June, even while in shed. She's grown quite quickly in that time and is now eating small fuzzy mice. She's now bigger than her brother Cookie Dough, and only a little smaller than her sister. She's come such a long way and I'm so proud of her!

Now that she's well-established and got some size to her, Diglett is finally ready to find new digs. She is currently up for 🅰️uction on MorphMarket, with 🅱️idding ending on Sunday.

Forgot to post during the actual expo but thank you everyone who stopped by at the booth at in Pomona this weekend! It was great seeing familiar faces, getting updates on snakes who went home, and sending new snakes to new homes.

I'm moving in a different direction project-wise and I can't keep everything unfortunately. I've had these guys for 2-3 years and they were fantastic breeders for me this year, I appreciate the work they put in and I will miss them ❤️

Uni, my red-line toxic (toffee axanthic) female holdback. This is one of the morph combinations that made me want to start breeding hognose snakes!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, and haven't done a morph flavor of the month 😣 Gonna use this month to catch up on some chores, finish my website (!!), and do some deep cleaning, so I doubt I'll be posting much for now...

MFM will return January 2026! I've got big plans for 2026, and I'm excited to share them with everyone ☺️

ANNOUNCEMENT: Hoggin-Dazs Black Friday and Small Business Saturday Specials have been extended through Cyber Week!

I was supposed to announce this on Friday but I didn't finish the art yet 🥲 My mistake is your gain! Since I allowed myself an extension on the art, you all get an extension on the deals!

I've also meant to post more Morph Flavor of the Month content and that didn't happen either... so hopefully this makes up for it. Even though the month is over 😅

SNAKE SPOTLIGHT: Chai the Mai Tai Conda.

Mai Tai is the name of the morph combination of sable (last month's featured morph) and toffeebelly (the current Morph Flavor of the Month).

The sable gene enhances the colors of a toffeebelly, bringing out pigment in the background and often giving the snake an orange blush on its cheeks. This individual has some green and yellow polygenic influence, definitely can't wait to see how that'll pass on to his offspring.

I've decided to keep both of these green sable conda sisters and start to work on my own yellow/green line sable project! 2nd pic is most accurate to real life, they're the greenest hognose I've seen besides JMG's lemon ghost sables.

TOFFEEBELLY - One of the many forms of T-positive albinism in hognose snakes, toffeebelly is a recessive gene that reduces melanin but does not eliminate it completely.

Where a wild type hognose would have beige and deep brown, a toffee hognose has off-white and orange. One of the key features to identify this morph is the color of the snake's belly; instead of black belly scales, toffeebelly hognoses have a dark purplish-brown toffee-colored belly (hence the name).

Another interesting feature of this morph is the increased chance of paradoxing on toffee individuals. It is fairly common for toffees to have patches of color that do not match the rest of the body, such as dark brown or black spots. Snakes can be born with such paradox spots or they can also develop them with age.

Toffeebelly is a wonderfully versatile morph that can create stunning morph combinations.

A great example of the toffee morph with high contrast saddles and flecks of extra color on his belly thanks to the influence of his polygenic red lineage.
