Zack was almost 13 years old, and for the last 5 years I’ve had the privilege of seeing him every single month. He was one of the very first clients I groomed when I started my business, and from the beginning he stole a piece of my heart.
Zack wasn’t just a dog that came in for grooming appointments. He was family. He loved his “tubbies,” loved his ball, and every appointment came with plenty of conversations because Zack loved to sing to me while I worked.
It’s hard to put into words how much I loved this boy. It has been such a privilege watching him grow old over the years and being a small part of his life. Five years of monthly visits means countless memories, countless hugs, and countless moments that made me smile. He was gentle, funny, loyal, and so incredibly special.
I’ll always be grateful to Zack and his family for trusting me with his care all these years. Thank you, Zack, for letting me learn on you in those early days when I was still figuring things out and wasn’t quite sure what I was doing. You were one of my first boys, and in so many ways, you helped me become the groomer I am today.
My heart is broken knowing I won’t hear him sing to me again or see his sweet face walk through my door. But I am so grateful for every tubby, every conversation, every slobbery greeting, and every moment I got to spend with him.
Run free, sweet Zack. Thank you for being one of the best parts of my journey and for letting me love you all these years. You will always be one of my very best boys. ❤️🐾
