Suitable prospect for PPD, bite sports, detection, dual purpose, scent work, AKC sports, etc. He is not a couch dog. He needs a job.
Draco is mid-high energy and mid drive across the board. He’s relatively green in regards to training. He has had a handful of bite work sessions. Mostly civil agitation at seminars with Charlie Randolf and Wildon Bloodworth simply to see if he would be a good bitework candidate and he did well. I would have zero hesitation in pursuing sport, PPD or dual work with him. He has played some hunt games for a ball, but has not been put on odor or taught an indication. He knows how to lure into positions and has a general concept of sit, down and place. He hasn’t been proofed in high level distraction on behaviors. He walks well on leash, is great in public, crate trained, house trained, travels well. He can get vocal in the crate when letting other dogs out, but it’s not constant. Just if he hasn’t been out and is really wound up. He is good with other dogs, people and kids. He has been around livestock and is easily manageable, but i wouldn’t trust him alone with them. He is NOT good with cats.
He’s up to date on all vaccines, hw, flea and tick prevention (nexgard plus), microchipped, AKC limited registration (can be lifted once final health testing and titles have been completed), OFA prelims hips good, elbows normal, DM Clear. We are in South Louisiana. We’ll be leaving Friday (4/24) to go to Lometa, TX then Monday (4/27) to go to Bon Aqua, TN. We’ll be in Bon Aqua until May 3rd.
